Process & approach.
Objective
A shelf is easy to overlook until it isn't. The challenge here was taking a product that lives in the background of a retail environment and pushing it front and center, making every feature feel deliberate and worth stopping for. The animation needed to do the work of a salesperson: walk the viewer through what makes this shelf different, why the build quality matters, and why it belongs in their space. All of this, on a large LCD at a conference booth, competing with everything else on that floor.
Process
Every model was built from scratch, which meant the material quality and structural details were controlled from the ground up. Surface finishes, joinery, load-bearing geometry each element was crafted to hold up under the kind of close scrutiny that a large-format display demands. Because when a shelf fills a screen that size, there is nowhere to hide. The camera work was kept intentionally calm. Smooth, unhurried movements that let the product breathe pulling focus to materials, edges, and construction details rather than dazzling the viewer with motion. Text callouts were integrated directly into the animation to name and explain key features as the camera found them, turning a visual presentation into a guided product story. Every callout had a cue, every cue had a purpose.
Outcome
The final animation gave the client a confident, self-contained presentation tool — no salesperson required. Running on a large LCD at their conference booth, it communicated build quality, feature depth, and brand professionalism to every passerby, doing the heavy lifting in an environment where attention is scarce and first impressions are everything.
