Process & approach.

Objective

How do you make someone feel the performance of a bat they can't yet hold? That was the real question. The brief was clear: showcase the engineering and premium materials of a composite baseball bat through a cinematic 3D animation. But the deeper challenge was making a static product feel alive communicating carbon fiber layering, structural precision, and craftsmanship through nothing but light, motion, and camera work. Easy enough, right?

Process

Starting from a client-supplied CAD model, the first order of business was converting raw engineering geometry into a production ready mesh clean enough to hold up under macro scrutiny, detailed enough to survive dramatic close-ups. From there, the work shifted to material development physically accurate carbon fiber surfaces that react to light the way the real thing does. Lighting setups were crafted to feel cinematic without losing the product's clarity.

Outcome

The final animation does what no product photo can it lets the engineering speak. Cutaway sequences reveal the internal carbon fiber construction, dramatic lighting elevates the craftsmanship, and the overall pacing creates a viewing experience that feels premium from the first frame to the last. The client walked away with a high-end visual asset built for digital campaigns, e-commerce, and anywhere a product needs to do more than just sit there.
